The Celtic Triple Spiral Necklace is cast in solid bronze.
The triple spiral is a reoccurring symbol throughout Celtic history and is thought to have been a precursor to the celtic triskele. The triple spiral is thought to be associated with fertility and to symbolize the three trimesters of pregnancy. It is believed that the triple spiral was associated with the Celtic triple goddess - maiden, mother and crone. Like the triskele, the triple spiral is a symbol of the three realms of the Celtic cosmology: land, sea, and sky.
The Celtic Spiral pendant measures approximately 32.3 mm (just over 1 1/4") long by 34.4 mm (1 3/8") wide.
The pendant weighs approximately 8.4 grams.
